Wales coach Wayne Pivac says the Six Nations trip to Ireland will prove the biggest test he has faced so far as a coach.
Wayne is preparing for his first Wales Test away from Cardiff following the comfortable 42-0 Six Nations win over Italy on the opening weekend of the Six Nations, and an uncapped victory against the Barbarians in November 2019.
Wales have not defeated Ireland in the Six Nations in Dublin since 2012.
When asked whether this was the biggest test of his coaching career, Pivac replied: “Yes definitely.“
The former Fiji and Scarlets boss added: “It will be a massive step up in what we’ve had so far.
Full Back Liam Williams is out of Wales’ next two Six Nations matches against Ireland and France but could face England, says defence coach Byron Hayward.
The Scarlets-bound back has not played since Wales beat France in the World Cup quarter final last October.
“It’s probably a bit too early for Liam, we’re looking at the fourth and fifth game,” said Hayward.
Hooker Elliot Dee, scrum-half Gareth Davies and centre Owen Watkin are fit after missing out on Saturdays comfortable 42-0 win over Italy.

George North slams the turf at Yokohama Stadium. His Rugby World Cup is over.
A little over 40 minutes later, Wales’ tournament would be too.
By his own admission, the semi-final against South Africa last year was one of the biggest games of his career and it was cut short by a hamstring injury.
He spent the second half of the clash helplessly watching from the sideline as Wales, through sheer guts and determination, ground their way back into the match.

Wales full-back Leigh Halfpenny says he is loving rugby again after recovering from one of the most difficult seasons of his career.
Halfpenny missed most of the 2018-19 campaign after suffering concussion against Australia in November 2018.
The 31-year-old is now in fine form for Scarlets and favourite to be the Wales full-back in the Six Nations opener against Italy on 1 February.
“I am enjoying being on the field after a difficult period,” said Halfpenny.
“To overcome that from last season and be out on the field, I am just so grateful to be back playing.”
Halfpenny’s contract is up at the end of the season and fellow Wales and British and Irish Lions full-back Liam Williams is returning to Scarlets from Saracens.
His purple patch has resulted in Scarlets general manager Jon Daniels and outgoing head coach Brad Mooar saying they want to keep him at the region.
He has refused to be drawn on his long-term future but has welcomed the return of Williams who could feature for Scarlets this season if Saracens offload the full-back early.
“It’s great for Welsh rugby,” said Halfpenny.
“For the Scarlets, he is a world-class player and will bring real quality to the region.
“To have that strength in depth in the squad is what we are trying to create with boys pushing each other for places.”
Williams is battling to be fit for the Six Nations opening weekend with Halfpenny in pole position to wear the Wales number 15 jersey against Italy as they start the defence of their title.
